2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Evaluate eligibility for tariff recovery, drawback, and related programs.
- Deliver, coordinate, and administer our services, including routing matters to licensed CBP/customs partners and independent legal counsel when warranted.

- Operate, secure, and improve our platform.
- Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis (for example, under the GDPR), we process personal information on the basis of (a) your consent, (b) performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps you request, (c) compliance with a legal obligation, and (d) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving our services, balanced against your rights.
4. Document Storage and Security
Documents you upload are stored in private, access-controlled, encrypted storage buckets managed by our cloud infrastructure providers. Access is limited to authorized CCC personnel and engaged partners who need the information to deliver services to you. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system can be guaranteed fully secure.
5. We Do Not Sell Personal Information
CCC does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not rent or trade your contact lists.
6. Third-Party and Partner Sharing
We disclose information only as follows:
- Licensed CBP/customs partners who prepare and submit ACE/CAPE declarations and ABI filings when a file warrants escalation.
- Independent legal counsel engaged where appropriate for protests, litigation, or related matters.
- Service providers (hosting, authentication, analytics, email delivery, document storage) under written contracts that restrict use to providing services to CCC.
- Legal and safety disclosures when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CCC, our clients, or others.
- Corporate transactions such as a merger, financing, or sale of assets, subject to customary confidentiality protections.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for the longer of (i) the duration of the engagement, (ii) the recordkeeping period required by applicable customs and tax regulations (commonly five years for customs records), and (iii) such longer period as needed for legal, audit, or dispute-resolution purposes. When retention is no longer required, we delete or de-identify the information.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of personal information about you, and to object to certain processing. Residents of California, the EU, the UK, and similar jurisdictions may also have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, or analogous laws, including the right to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To submit a request, email privacy@compoundcapitalconnections.com. We will verify your request consistent with applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the applicable jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
